I saw this couple last night in Bryant Park and asked them if I could snap their photo. After showing them the results, I sat down for a chat. The first leaves were shaking themselves off the trees in the strong breeze and I asked what the occasion for their picturesque picnic was, figuring an anniversary or birthday. It’s been a while since I posted something. I’m thinking of reviving this blog, giving it a new taste. I really miss writing. I feel so free and relieved right now. This is one of the things that keeps me sane. All these school stuffs drained my creativity. I feel like I’m in working in a line production. I’m going to go back writing, my first love. But sadly, I realized my writing skills kind of went from AH! to eh -.- I shall be back very soon. So please don’t unfollow YET:)

Explanation: Did you see the Full Moon last night? Near the horizon, the lunar orb may have seemed to loom large, swollen in appearance by the famous Moon illusion. But the Full Moon really was a large Full Moon last night, reaching its exact full phase within an hour of lunar perigee, the point in the Moon’s elliptical orbit closest to planet Earth. A similar near perigee Full Moon last occured on December 12, 2008. The difference in the Moon’s apparent size as it moves from perigee to apogee, its farthest point from Earth, is about 14 percent. Of course, a nearly Full Moon will rise again tonight, lighting the skies on the date of the Equinox or equal night. The Full Moon also looms large in this well-planned, telescopic lunar portrait. Captured earlier this year, the rising lunar orb is dramatically matched to the 2,500 year old Parthenon, in Athens, Greece.

Next week, the moon will make its closest approach to Earth in almost 20 years. Astrologers say the phenomenon, known as “Super Moon,” historically coincides with enormous natural disasters. Both the New England hurricane of 1938 and the Australian Hunter Valley floods of 1955 happened during Super Moons, they say. The last Super Moon came in 2005, at around the same time as Hurricane Katrina and the Indonesian tsunami.

pictures like this make us realize how fortunate we are to have a bed to lay on, food to eat, and more opportunities than others could ever have, so rather trippn about materialistic shit we need to be fortunate and pay it forward to those who arent.
